Reflections from Sunday: Bread of Life

We all remember school lunches. You’d get excited for taco day, but dread the TV dinner-style Salisbury steak they served on Thursdays. Jesus gave us a clear picture of who He is and how He wants to be a part of our daily lives by saying He’s the bread of life. Referring Himself to bread shows us the constant sustaining power He wants to display in our lives. We can’t go long without eating food and Jesus desires for us to come to him the same way we come to the lunch table; DAILY! Our spirits long to communicate and spend time with the one who created us and Jesus is our bridge to Him. God supplies all of our needs and calms every fear. In His presence is the fullness of joy. (Ps 16:11) The same way we can’t begin our meals at a restaurant until the bread comes, don’t begin your day without Jesus.

Make today great!
